MTville was formed to be a friendly, safe place for MT-related discussion and as a virtual break-room to alleviate the isolated feel of the MT profession. We don't have a lot of rules, but we do have a few, as follows:

1. No lurking! Hanging out in the room while working or studying is permissible. However, we do like to get to know you, so please participate in the discussions as your time allows. Sitting in the room for over 24 hours without active participation will not be allowed.

2. No bashing! Absolutely NO HATE SPEECH (i.e., racism, gay bashing, etc.)! Because #MTville is intended to be a friendly place with a mixture of all races, ethnic ties, lifestyles, school loyalties, company loyalties, etc., we do not allow attacks of any sort directed at any group or person. Friendly banter is fine.

3. No impersonation! Impersonation of any person will result in an immediate kick/ban.

4. No advertising (i.e., spam)! Personal recommendations may be shared, but please do not advertise. (Ops decide what is spam.)

5. Popups – Popups will be limited to 6 lines. They are fun toys, but the larger ones can become disruptive to conversation.

6. Test Questions - No assistance will be provided to those taking MT tests.

7. Remember that we are all working and stopping to help others cuts into our production as well. Please search for answers on your own before asking for help in the room. We should be a last resort to finding the answer. We do not mind helping if you have exhausted all of the sources you have for yourself.

NOTE: By entering the MTville chatroom, you agree to abide by the above rules. All decisions about violation(s) of the rules made by the channel operators is final. You can appeal and/or appologize for any violation made in error and it will then be up to the channel operator to decide what, if any, action should be taken. Continuous violation of the above rules will be grounds for being banned from MTville.
